I'm five months into my new job as a Primary Librarian and so far so good. I'd forgotten how manic it can be and how you bounce from one thing to another all day long. At the end of last week (first week back after the Christmas break), I was left with a list I had made at the start of the week. I'd managed to accomplish one task. Now this is not down to being disorganized but simply not having the time to do anything other than issue/return books and keep the place in order. Thankfully, things have calmed down a bit now so I'm back on track.
I've been reminded in the last month how lucky I am to be a librarian. My students are a constant source of joy.
